Mauri ora: Last week the trustees and senior staff visited Te Waikoropupū during the start-of-year strategic hui. Te Waikoropupū Springs are a taonga and waahi tapu. The legends of Te Waikoropupū are told in the stories of Huriawa, its taniwha.The Springs are waiora, the purest form of water which is the wairua (spiritual) and the physical source of life.
You are invited to a hāngi to celebrate the mahi undertaken at Whakapaetuara (Motueka Delta) to bring balance to those who have worked on the whenua, also to whakawhanaungatanga ki nga tātou for haukāinga, hapū, iwi and the many amazing people who have supported this kaupapa.
Please note the entrance for vehicles is by the netball courts, and the exit is behind the basketball stadium.
Kaumātua reserved parking is outside the netball pavillion.
