Some of our trustees and representatives took a hikoi during their January hui to help officially open the refurbished Freeman’s cottage. Situated in the DOC carpark at Tuhuroa (Farewell Spit), the name bestowed by Manawhenua Ki Mohua is Te Whare Whakatā (place of rest).
You are invited to a hāngi to celebrate the mahi undertaken at Whakapaetuara (Motueka Delta) to bring balance to those who have worked on the whenua, also to whakawhanaungatanga ki nga tātou for haukāinga, hapū, iwi and the many amazing people who have supported this kaupapa.
Please note the entrance for vehicles is by the netball courts, and the exit is behind the basketball stadium.
Kaumātua reserved parking is outside the netball pavillion.
