Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rārua congratulates Board Chair Olivia Hall on her appointment to an executive director role for Tumu Whenua ā-Rohe 3 at Te Pūkenga.
Rohe 3 | Region 3 includes Taranaki, Manawatū-Whanganui, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, and Te Tauihu-o-te-Waka a Māui, the top of the South Island.
Rūnanga Pouwhakahaere Shane Graham said it was fantastic for our region that Olivia’s skills and expertise have been recognised.
“Having a person with such deep connections to Te Tauihu, and who knows the unique strengths and needs of our community leading our region’s vocational education is an excellent result.”

Olivia, who will co lead Rohe 3 with Mark Oldershaw, executive director at Whitireia and Weltec | Te Pūkenga, is looking forward to starting her new role on May 8.
“As co-lead of Rohe 3, I look forward to being part of transformational change, which puts learners and priority learners at the centre. I am excited to work with Mark, who has recently joined me for a tour of our Richmond and Nelson campuses, and I look forward to building on what we have been able to achieve here at NMIT.
Olivia will continue to be based in Te Tauihu.
