Navigating together towards a thriving future in Te Tauihu
Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rārua were delighted to represent ngā iwi o Te Tauihu as we passed a mauri stone to the incoming board of the Te Tauihu Community Development Agency.
Created in a spirit of kotahitanga for all Te Tauihu, the agency has been set up to use the principles of the Te Tauihu Intergenerational Strategy to respond to the for-purpose sector’s needs, to advocate and facilitate collective action.
The goal is enabling a strong, connected and well-resourced community sector, so organisations can work more effectively to support the wellbeing of our rohe.
Representatives from many supporting agencies and groups were in attendance and speakers recognised the huge mahi of those in the past, and the responsibility we have to our future generations.
The Te Tauihu Community Development Agency trustees are:
Nick Clarke, Megan Courtney, Suzanne Jones, Sara Shaughnessy, Rachel Sanson, John Gieryn, and Felicity Palmer.
