Te Hauora o Ngāti Rārua has asked all whānau to check their whooping cough vaccinations are up to date. There is an increased number of cases across the motu, and Health NZ says Aotearoa is currently at high risk of whooping cough outbreak.

Whooping cough immunisations are due at 6 weeks, 3 months, 5 months, 4 years, and a booster at 11 years. 

If your tamariki/ tamaiti are behind with their vaccinations, Te Hauora O Ngāti Rārua strongly urges you to contact your Hauora Māori provider, you GP, or other healthcare provider.

Free vaccinations for whānau Māori

Vaccinations are free if you are hapū or aged over 65. However, in this time of increased need, Te Hauora o Ngāti Rārua are also offering free vaccinations to all Māori who might not be eligible for funding.
