Kia Pai te Noho!
Hauora at Home kono were created to provide some rongoa and support to whānau who need to isolate under the COVID-19 protocols.
Our thanks go to our Rongoā practitioners and local weavers who came together across the rohe to harvest and prepare products for our whānau. Each of these wonderful wāhine poured their gifts into the products and kono so that those who receive them will know that they are supported by many in Te Tauihu and they are not alone.
This project has connected kaiako and tauira in the arts of raranga and rongoa across our marae and really has exceeded our expectations as what began with a question of "what can we do for whānau?" culminated in some really beautiful and broad outcomes that we will build on over the years.
The kono will be available for our whānau throughout the motu who need to self-isolate and will be filled with a selection of the rongoa and other useful items pictured below.
