Battle of the Pā (BoTP) is a Ngāti Rārua whānau event to bring us together.  2024 Ipukarea, we were large in numbers with some of us meeting for the first time, so we want to continue to strengthen our connection to each other.

You can choose to play for Wairau or Motueka.  There are no rules as to which side you can play for, it is your choice.

    Battle rules:

Each team plays two games.  A win earns you 2 points.  A draw wins you 1 point.  After all games are played, the points are added up to decide the winner.

If there’s a draw … a team & sport will be chosen to battle it out.  If they draw, the first team to score a point wins.  Presentation to the winners of BoTP will take place during hakari.
